Head out to Central Methodist University this weekend and be a part of this year's Family Day. Take the time to reunite with your relatives while taking part in the multiple activities that are jammed packed from 9:30AM to 7:30PM. Support the eagles by watching many of the games taking place at the University, including softball and soccer. KCMU Eagle Radio will be airing music throughout campus and you can come visit us outside of the library (Cupples Hall).
We look forward to seeing you!
Two years ago today, KCMU consisted of a program that would consistently crash, a mac that would freeze, and a USB microphone. Now, KCMU is rocking an acoustically treated, professional sounding cave of wonders that still has a crisp and clean look.
Right now we run MegaSeg in conjunction with Nicecast. Three professional microphones with a board allow for a morning show or interview setup. Or new speakers allow for your mixtape to truly be fire. We have implemented three monitors for prep, broadcast, and free space. Our landline has been wired directly to the board to make phone interviews even easier. However, we left the option to do it straight from your cell phone with an aux line directly to the board.
PHOTOS COMING SOON
The results are in! The segment created by station managers Jordan Ayers and Nick Ruffy and in part by the Marketing Communications Department at CMU feel short at the Intercollegiate Broadcasting Systems Spring Conference. However, being in the finals still puts the segment in the top 5% of the country. Congrats Nick and Jordan!
The piece airs on KWRT 1370AM in Boonville, Fayette's KPIP 96.7FM, and now KRES 104.7 in Moberly. Click here to listen to "This Week at CMU!" and other Eagle Radio programming.
