Central Methodist University is a small but beautiful university located in Fayette, Missouri. CMU boasts a tremendous amount of activities for student involvement, one of these outlets is Eagle Radio. KCMU was started and is currently facilitated by faculty adviser Dr. Cherry. Valuable skills can be learned through KCMU such as audio production, voice work, and writing for the radio. Dr. Cherry offers a variety of classes that link up with the radio station. You do not have to be a Communication major to become a part of the team here at KCMU. If you are interested in radio you will always have the opportunity to join the team.

Station Profile

KCMU Eagle Radio is the hands-on radio laboratory of Central Methodist University. It is owned by Central Methodist University and is operated by the Department of Communication. The station is licensed to Central Methodist University, with control and responsibility for operations assigned to personnel in the Department of Communication. The station is licensed primarily as a training ground for students and, secondarily, as a public service. The Division of Social Sciences and the Student Government Association fund the radio station.

Our Mission

Eagle Radio’s responsibility lies first in providing qualified students with experience and training in the various tasks associated with the operation of a radio station. The station’s secondary responsibility is to provide, when possible, programming of interest to the students at Central Methodist. Thus, the needs and preferences of the student body are taken seriously in determining the type and amount of programming offered.
Because of the public nature of our endeavor, the interests of the Fayette community are served to the greatest extent possible, given our primary responsibility to the students at Central Methodist University.
